Abstract

[Also in Division H1] The control means for controlling the field current in a commutatorless D.C. electric motor comprises a stationary sleeve 6 extending into the magnet assembly on the shaft of the motor with magnetic flux dependent resistor 4 in recesses in the sleeve held in place by outer ring 13. The resistors may have ridged edges to co-operate with grooves in the apertured sleeve.
