Abstract

1,135,110. Multi-part mould. R. C. BUCHMANN. 14 Dec., 1966 [14 Dec., 1965], No. 56060/66. Heading B5A. A multipart mould comprises two frame members 1, 2, having co-operating edges 10, 11, which are offset when closed and may thus form a rebate in the moulded material, and two moulding plates 14, 15 movable within the frame members and locatable in any desired position. One of the co-operating edges preferably has a lipped portion overlapping the other edge so that the cavity 5 may be increased or reduced without escape of moulding material. The moulding plates 14, 15 are preferably hollow for the supply of heating or cooling medium through bore 4, and are movable by pistons 18, 19 for precompression or aftercompression of the material being moulded. Ejector rods 20, 21 may also be used.
