Abstract

113,453. Larivei, F. F. June 7, 1916. Hank type.-In a machine for laboratory use, a dye-vat 1 is divided into separate compartments, over each of which is arranged a roller 8 to carry the fibre. Each compartment has its own inlet and outlet means and separate regulable heating means. The rollers 8 are driven by bevelgears, which may be changed to vary the speed of each roller, from a shaft 9, which is driven through an automatic reversing-gear of the kind described in Specification 26073/13. The vat is mounted on straps 2 passing over pulleys 3 on a shaft 4 operated through worm-gearing 5 by a hand-wheel 7 so as to lift or lower the vat; or alternatively, the frame carrying the rollers 8 may be arranged to be lifted and lowered.
