Abstract

1,134,476. Circulating furnace atmospheres. INDUGAS, GESELLSCHAFT F R INDUSTRIELLE GASVERWENDUNG, m.b.H. 17 May, 1967 [13 July, 1966], No. 22911/67. Heading F4B. . A heating flue in a continuous heat treatment furnace of the forced convection type comprises a fan 4, radiant heaters 7 e.g. gas-fired radiant tubes, and a series of metal lattices or nets 8 disposed between said heaters. Members 8 may be of intersecting corrugated or zig zag formation to define parallelogram shaped cells encircling the heaters, Fig. 3 (not shown). They may be made of creep- and scale-resistant metal in the form of strips or wires. The heaters may be electric radiators.
