Abdominal belts; stiffeners. - An accoutrement belt or binder consists of four single pieces A, B, C, D of linen, flannel, or the like, connected together at the back by two laces J, K, at the front by usual busk fastenings 2, 5, and at the sides by lines of stitching. The busks at the front are placed in end pockets formed by lines of stitching H' one inch long at the top and bottom, and are retained therein by buttons 1 and buttonholes 1<1> on a strengthening-strip 6 and on the turnedover edge H respectively. A projecting strip of material 4 may be secured in a pocket in the left edge to form a busk-protector.
