[Also in Division C4] An aerosol composition for inhalation therapy e.g. in the treatment of upper respiratory tract congestion comprises from 0.01 to 1% by weight of anti-inflammatory steroid. from 0.01 to 1% by weight of isoproterenol sulphate, from 0 to 5% by weight of ethanol, from 5 to 50% by weight of trichlorofluoromethane and from 0 to 0.1 % by weight of sodium sulphate, the remainder being a propellant consisting of dichlorodifluoromethane and/or 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2,-tetrafluoroethane. The anti-inflammatory steroid may be dexamethasone phosphate; many other steroids are mentioned.
