Abstract
1,132,505. Photo-electric distance measuring. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. 23 May, 1966 [24 May, 1965], No. 22982/66. Heading H4D. Relates to a pulse-echo laser range meter incorporating an optical sight for aiming the beam at a target and an optical receiver prefacing a time measuring device 7. According to the invention the optical sight and receiver have a common optical objective 3, the optical sight including a separator at the focus of the objective on its optical axis for sending light along that axis to the optical receiver and other light to the optical sight. The sighting point is thus a dark spot in the centre of the field of vision. The separator may be an inclined mirror 4 with a hole 5, or a prism with an optical window, Fig. 2 (not shown). A diaphragm 12 may be introduced into the field of the optical sight when the laser is triggered. The sighting axis of ocular 10 may be at an angle to that of objective 3, Fig. 3 (not shown).
