Abstract

1,131,973. Dust pans. S.A. BRUSH CO. Ltd. 24 May, 1966 [27 May, 1965], No. 23208/66. Heading A4F. A carpet sweeper has supporting wheels 6 disposed in cavities between the side walls 2 of the sweeper casing and plates provided with slots 8 receiving the wheel axles 7. Springs 16 urge the axles 7 towards each other so that the wheels drivingly engage rollers 15 on the brush 22 (Figs. 2 and 4, not shown). Combs (not shown) comprising prongs of triangular cross-section extend downwardly from the roof of the casing to remove matter from the brush. Dust trays 25, 26 are mounted on hinges 28 and may be held either in an operative or a discharge position by springs 30.
