Abstract

[Also in Divisions B1 and D1] A mixer for fluids (see Division B1) comprises a jet-pump in which the supply of the induced fluid(s) is controlled by a solenoid valve actuated in a pulsed manner by a control device, e.g. a cold cathode timer or a transistorized thyristor switched timer, which may be programmed. In the arrangement shown which is primarily for programmed automatic dish-washers and washing machines, solenoid valves 20a, 20b control passages 44a, 44b by which dosage fluids are supplied to a jet pump 12. The control unit 22 includes a time relay 50 having two fixed time delays operated by switch E. The apparatus may be programmed to provide e.g. two washes with an aqueous solution of a detergent each followed by a rinse with water, and a final rinse with water containing a "dripoff" agent.
