Abstract

A method of blasting underwater rock formations involves drilling a hole into the rock, passing an explosive charge 5 down into the hole through a casing 1 keyed into the rock about the hole and extending to above the surface of the water above the rock, dropping a fuse 10 connected to the charge 5 down the casing, sliding a hook assembly 8 down over the casing, raising the casing, and retrieving the fuse by the hook assembly.
