Abstract

As successive current generators 18-12 are connected in parallel to resistor R, the summed currents therefrom produce voltages across terminals 3 which correspond to the break points between successive linear ranges of the non-linear D/A conversion characteristic, and points within each of these linear ranges are achieved by adding an appropriate fraction, from divider D, of the current from the next higher generator I7-I1.
