Abstract

1,130,027. Folding table. ARNEX PRODUCTS Ltd. 21 Aug., 1967 [12 Aug., 1966], No. 36151/66. Heading A4H. A folding table comprises flaps 17 pivoted to a vertical rectangular frame 10 for movement between horizontal and vertical positions and legs 19 also pivoted to the frame for movement from positions lying alongside the base member 14 of the frame to positions in which they project at right angles to the base member 14, the flaps 17 and the legs 19 being mechanically connected so that movement of one effects movement of the other. The mechanical connection between the flaps and the legs comprises two slide bars (24, 32) coupled together by a pivoted two armed lever (28), each slide bar carrying a toothed rack (23, 33) in engagement with toothed segments (22, 34) rotatable with the flaps and legs. The flaps are secured to bell crank arms (16) which are pivoted to pins 18 disposed inside the hollow vertical frame member 11, the bell crank arms (16) extending through slots 15 in the frame members 11. The legs have castors 21.
