Abstract

Medicinal preparations; medicines for internal use.-Stable aqueous solutions of arsenobenzene derivatives, such as 4:4<1>-diox-3:3<1>-diaminoarsenobenzene hydrochloride, 4:4<1> -dioxy-3 :3' - diaminoarsenobenzene formaldehyde sulphoxylate of sodium, or the tetraoxyphosphotetraminodiarsenobenzene described in Specification 9234/15, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], are prepared by dissolving their soluble salts in aqueous solutions of hexoses, such as glucose, levulose, mannose, galactose, or invert sugar. The resulting solutions are suitable for intramuscular or intravenous injection. Local anaesthetics, such as guaiacol, cocaine, novocaine, or stovaine, may be added to the solutions if desired.
