Abstract

1,129,301. Packages. MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. and D. W. MOLINS. 10 Feb., 1966 [12 Feb., 1965], No. 6118/65. Heading B8C. A container of moisture-proof material, e.g. plastics for, e.g. cigarettes, having parts 1, 2, Figs. 1, 2 (former not shown), movable relative to each other for opening and closing the container, is sealed by a band 5; of moisture-proof material, which extends over the join 4 between the parts 1, 2. Only the margins 6 of the band are secured to the container, two tear strips 8 on the band being provided whereby that part of the band not attached to the container is removed on opening it. The container may have a lid 1 hinged to the body 2 at 3, the tear strips extending round all four sides or only over the join 4. Alternatively the lid (13) or (15) may be separate from the container body (11) or (14), Figs. 3, 4 (not shown).
