Abstract
1,128,674. Cooking appliance for grilling and rotisserie cooking. RADIATION Ltd. 2 May, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 21567/66. Heading A4D. [Also in Division H5] A combined radiant electric grilling and rotisserie cooking appliance includes a heating element 6, 14 of the tubular sheathed radiant type pivotally mounted about one edge for upward pivotal movement between a horizontal grilling position and a vertical rotisserie cooking position. Each element 6, 14 pivots with its reflector 5, 15 and in its horizontal position has a grill pan 9, 16 beneath it which functions as a drip tray when the element is in its vertical rotisserie cooking position. A table top appliance, Fig. 1, with conventional hot plates 3, has its spit bar 8 and struts 7, 7a removable to convert the appliance for grilling. Strut 7a supports the driving motor for the spit. An ovenrotisserie compartment, Fig. 2, pivots element 14 at 14a and provides a motor (not shown) at one end of the compartment for a spit in position 18, an additional heating element 17 being provided for top heat or for use as a secondary grill.
