Abstract

1,128,175. Level detector for hopper. H. MAIHAK A.G. 16 Dec., 1965 [21 Dec., 1964; 28 Sept., 1965], No. 53502/65. Heading B8S. A level detector for indicating or controlling the level of material in a hopper is formed of blade 8 carried by shaft 6 which is connected by sliding clutch 7 to the shaft 3 of motor 1. The casing of motor 1 is mounted rotatably to turn against spring 11, being connected thereto by arm 10 secured to the casing. When the level of material in the hopper rises to the level of blade 8, the rotation of the blades is impeded and the resultant reaction of the motor casing moves arm 10 against spring 11 to operate a switch 13.
