A cine projector which can be used with either of two types of substandard cine film differing in format and in perforation dimension and pitch incorporates a continuous film feed mechanism Fig.2 comprising rotary shafts 26 and 27 each carrying a pair of sprocket wheels 13 and 16 and 15 and 18, one for each type of film, the shafts being mounted on the support plate 24 which is movable on upper and lower guiding rods 22 and 23 so that on turning the operating knob 44 the cam 46 moves the support plate 24 against the spring 48 allowing either the sprockets 16 and 18 or 13 and 15 to be brought into the operative position. This movement also allows either the gears 50 and 28 to enmesh when sprocket wheels 16 and 18 are operative (as shown) or the gears 51 and 29 to enmesh when sprocket wheels 13 and 15 are operative, thus allowing each set of sprockets to be driven at its appropriate speed. The mechanism is driven from rotary shaft 34 through belt 36 and pulley 40 which runs on the shutter 42, a worm 52 mounted on the shutter axis driving the gear 54. The latter is coaxially mounted with gears 50 and 51 which drive either gears 28 or 29 depending on the position of sprocket shaft 26. Shaft 27 is driven from shaft 26 by a driving band 32. The intermittent transport of the film is effected by means of a feed claw (not shown) driven by a cam on the shutter axis.
