Abstract

1,125,649. Girdles. MUNSINGWEAR Inc. 13 June, 1966, No. 26270/66. Heading A3V. A girdle 41 includes stretchable leg portions 42, 43 each carrying continuous or interrupted friction ribs such as 48 on the surface facing a stretchable band 47 which may alternatively or in addition carry similar ribs 51 so that a stocking top 53 can be gripped between the two adjacent faces. The band may be attached to the inner or outer face of the leg portions and in a long leg girdle the friction ribs may be spaced from the lower edges of the leg portions. An alternative form of friction rib has serrations extending transversely thereof.
