Abstract
1,125,584. Zinc electro-plating solution. KYOWA HAKKO KOGYO K. K. Sept. 21, 1965 [Sept 22, 1964; Dec. 16, 1964; Aug. 25, 1965], No.40231/65. Heading C7B. A zinc electro-plating solution which is free from cyanides and which comprises water; acetic acid; zinc acetate; a water soluble inorganic alkali metal or ammonium salt which serves to increase the electrical conductivity of the solution e. g. potassium, sodium or ammonium chloride, ammonium perchloride or ammonium persulphate; and an agent consisting of an amine, e. g. triethanolamine; organic acid e.g. gluconic acid, nicotinic acid, isonicotinic acid, and amino acids, for example glutamic acid, B-alanine, or aspartic acid; gelatine; high molecular alcohols; sulphamic acid; salts of the aforementioned acids, e.g. sodium gluconate, and mixtures thereof, which agent serves to improve the adhesion of the zinc coating applied electrolytically to a ferrous using said solution as electrolyte.
