Abstract

1,124,417. Hydraulic apparatus. ALFRED TEVES MASCHINEN - UND ARMATUREN FABRIK K.C. May 10, 1967 [Aug. 26, 1966], No.21773/67. Heading F1P. Pressurization of liquid within a chamber 2 having a connection C to a device to be supplied and bounded by one side of a piston head 3a is effected by adjusting the other side of the piston to the delivery pressure of a pump (not shown) and this latter pressure is controlled by manual axial displacement of a throttle cone 7 within the hollow stem 3b of the piston in relation to a seat 8 located between axial spaced radial bores 5, 5a, 6, 6a in the stem 3b which serve to connect the pump delivery connection A to a return connection B. The cone 7 itself houses a needle valve 19 past which air bled from chamber 2 through a piston head bore 18 passes through the open throttle and bores 6, 6a to the return connection B; pressure on opposite sides of the piston head being equalized through a floating ball valve 16. In operation and on pushing against an insert valve member 11 the needle valve is seated and the pressure between cone 7 and its seat 8 is restricted thereby allowing a build-up of pressure which seats ball 16 at 14 and displaces piston to the left thus pressurizing liquid in chamber 2. On retracting the cone 7 pump delivery pressure is relieved through the throttle and connection B and the piston head 3a is returned by a spring 25 to abut a stop pin 12.
