The mouth of a teat cup liner has a (substantially) semi-circular inner surface 7 surrounding a hollow space 5, the radius R of the surface being so related to the largest diameter B of the tubular part 2 of the liner that the axial depth A of the space 5 is approximately equal to, but not greater than, half the diameter B.
