To cleanse the filter-cloth, a reverse flow of the liquid is obtained either from a pipe k, or by an alternative pipe n which branches from the inlet pipe e, the necessary cocks being fitted to the pipes. The wash liquid leaves by a pipe q. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 9206/87, 16996/94, 18716/08, and 12681/10.
