Abstract
1,121,006. Polymerisation tank lining. PFAUDLER-WERKE A.G. 4 Feb., 1966 [25 Feb., 1965], No. 5096/66. Heading B1X. [Also in Division B3] A damaged portion of the enamelled surface of a steel polymerisation tank is repaired by grinding away the damaged enamel 1 and fitting into the recess so formed a plate 2 of a corrosion-resistant metal such as gold silver or tantalum which is held in place by silver pins 7 which are screwed into the tank and riveted over into countersunk holes formed in the plate. There is a layer of acid resisting adhesive or cement 6 between the plate and the steel shell of the tank.
