[Also in Division A4] A float for a fishing net N comprises a helix of an expanded foam plastics material which is resilient and of closed- cell form. The turns 10 of the helix are contiguous but there is sufficient resiliency in the material to allow the float to be threaded on to a line by turning the float about its longitudinal axis whilst threading the line between the turns of the helix. The cross-section of the turns can be circular or rectangular.
