Abstract

A hot-top for an ingot mould (see Division B3) has a preformed liner consisting of curved boards, made from the following composition: 70-95% sand or grog, 2-20% wood- or paper-pulp and 1-10% resin or organic glue and up to 10% asbestos or glass-, rock-or steel-wool for flexibility.
