Abstract
Stabilized enzyme preparations comprise a minor amount of poly-L-lysine and/or albumin and/or protamine. The poly-L-lysine and protamine may be used in the form of salts with organic or inorganic acids. Lysozyme and glucuronoglycosaminoglycan-hyaluronate-lyase may be so stabilized.ALSO:Enzymes, e.g. glucuronoglycosaminoglycanhyaluronate-lyase or lysozyme, are stabilised by addition of albumin, or of poly-L-lysine or protamine or salts thereof with organic or inorganic acids. Such stabilised enzyme solutions may be used therapeutically by intravenous or intramuscular injection or by scanification. Compositions may also contain glucose, invert sugar, or wetting, emulsifying and dispersing agents.
