[Also in Division B8] A carrier attachment for conveyers comprises a load carrying element 7 in the form of a hook or pronged platform and having a sleeve 6 slidable along a support device 3 by which it is supported from an endless chain, not shown, running in a tube 11. The lower end of the support device 3 has a stop 4 having an inclined surface 1 for abutment with a similarly inclined surface 2 of the sleeve 6 whereby on being released from an upper loading position the load carrying element 7 is lowered and swung through an odd multiple of 180‹ to a discharge position. The load carrying element is held in the upper position by a catch pin 8 and is released thereby on abutment with a lever, a cam or by magnetic means at a predetermined discharge point.
