Abstract

An anti-freezing solution comprises an aqueous solution of, as an anti-freezing agent, a polyalcohol and, as a non-ionic surface-active agent, a polyethoxy polyethylene glycol or a polyethoxy fatty alcohol in which the fatty alcohol is a mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. Optional additives include silicone anti-foaming agents such as polydimethyl siloxanes and corrosion inhibitors such as borax.
