Abstract

In a shuttleless loom weft is tensioned by a number of flexible steel strips 10 acting against fixed plates 30, the strips being mounted in blocks 9 rotatable on a bar 6 and pressure being applied to each strip by separate, adjustable helical springs 21, 22. The pressure is relieved by movement of a bar 15 which causes rotation of the blocks 9.
