A front post 1 is provided with a rearwardly extending backbone 2 having integral hooks 3 engageable with a bottom bracket 7, the backbone comprising also members 4, 5, which member 4 may engage the seat tube 6 and be locked thereto by a nut which screws down on to a conical lug 10. Extra members 5a, 16 and 17 may be provided.
