1,118,092. Synchronizing estrus in swine. ELI LILLY & CO. 23 May, 1966 [24 May, 1965], No. 22963/66. Heading A5B. A method of synchronizing estrus in a group of female swine comprises administering an estrogen to the swine for from 8 to 12 days and sequentially administering a progestational agent for from 8 to 12 days. At least 50% of the swine are stated to come into estrus from 4 to 7 days after the end of the treatment. Several specific examples of suitable agents are specified e.g. diethylstilbestrol and 6-chloro-#<SP>6</SP>-17-acetoxy progesterone.
