Abstract

1,116,456. Intercell connections for storage batteries. L. T. ACCUMULATORS Ltd. 5 May, 1967 [6 May, 1966], No. 20259/66. Heading H1B. The intercell connections in a storage battery with a case divided by partitions into a number of cell compartments each comprise a link 8 extending through an aperture in the partition 3 and burnt to a lug on a connector strip 5 attached to the battery plates on either side of the partition 3, a block of insulating material 10 being mounted on the link 8 on each side of the partition 3, each insulating block 10 having hole which receives the link 8 and a groove surrounding the hole, and a sealing compound 16 extending at least around the grooves and through the aperture in the partition 3. The sealing compound 16 may be an epoxy resin.
