Abstract

A corn &c. pad comprises a plurality of layers of cushioning material secured together, each layer having an indented edge extending through the entire thickness of the layer, the layers either being of substantially equal size (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown), with the indentations of adjacent layers staggered or the layers decreasing in size one above the other (Figs. 1, 2 and 3, not shown), with the indentations being aligned, the pad having means by which it can be attached to a user. The layers are of felt, foam latex, or a thermoplastic foam material, and the layers may be of different materials. A pressure-sensitive adhesive (9) temporarily protected by a cover sheet (10) may be provided for attaching the pad to the foot and the pad may be formed with a recess (Fig. 4) or with an opening (Fig. 3) to receive an affliction.
