Abstract

111,315. Hoberecht, A. Oct. 23, 1916. Roller mills.-Feeding-devices for roller mills comprise two worms mounted on a common shaft, one of them being adjustable, and the shaft terminating in a cylinder carrying a number of radial blades which scatter the material on to a segment of adjustable bars. The shaft 12 carries a fixed worm 22 and a worm 24 adjustable by telescoping on to the cylindrical portion of the worm 22. Radial blades are mounted on a cylinder on the shaft 12 and extend beyond the partition 31. The radial plates are surrounded by a fixed casing formed in its upper portion by a segmental deflector plate 37, and in its lower portion by a segmental series of obstruction plates 34 having pointed ends and being adjustably mounted in a segmental clamping-ring 36. The scattered material falls through the hopper 41 on to a cant board 43 and thence is delivered to the rollers 10, 11.
