Rollers and roller heads.-To facilitate the drawing of slivers &c. comprising fibres of uneven staple, a small positively driven roller b<1> cooperating with a non-revoluble self-weighted pressure block b<2> of convex shape is arranged in close proximity to the drawing-rollers a<1>, a<2>, and the principal draft takes place between these members. The roller b<1> is arranged in the angle between the rollers a<1>, a<2>, and the block b<2>, which makes a line contact with the roller, is shaped to curve around the surface of the roller a<2> and arranged to slide in guides b<3> in a forwardly inclined direction over the surface of the roller b<1>. The roller b<1> is provided with flutings of ratchet toothed section. The usual intermediate rollers c<1>, c<2> may be dispensed with.
