Abstract

111,188. Grabham, A. I. Dec. 6, 1916. Seals.-A seal comprises two parts, one of hard metal and the other of soft metal or of hard metal coated with soft metal. In the arrangement shown in Figs. 2 and 4, a cupped member of hard metal has connected to it by a neck 3 a .member 2 of hard metal faced with lead 8 which may be secured in the cupped member by turning over the edges 4 thereof by a sealing-tool. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the member 2 is of lead.
