Abstract

To facilitate the insertion of a shaft through the bores of section beams the beams, when wound, are placed on stands 6, 7, the stand 6 being adjustable heightwise by rotating a shaft 20 having cams 19 and the stand 7 being axially movable, to butt the beam flanges, in pairs of rollers 30. The beam flanges rest on rotatable rollers (10).
