A rectifier arrangement comprises a plurality of finned coolers each having a cavity containing two semi-conductor diodes of different polarity. at least some of the cavities also containing condensers and resistances. The finned portions of the coolers project into a container charged with coolant and connected to a heat exchanger, and the diodes are located in a weatherproof closed chamber. Insulating material is disposed between the coolers and the wall of the container.
