Pneumatic collectors.-Relates to motor wagons with apparatus for emptying street gullies having a vacuum casing into which the contents of the gully are drawn and from which they are discharged into a receptacle on the wagon, as described in Specification 14685/15, and consists in the addition of a storage tank containing water or disinfectant which can be charged into the gully immediately after removal of the contents with. out moving the vehicle. As shown, 2 is the known vacuum casing into which the contents of the gully 5 are drawn through a pipe 3. The wagon is provided with a tank divided into upper and lower compartments 8, 9 by a partition 7. The casing 2 discharges into the compartment 8 through a valve 6. The compartment 9 contains water or disinfectant which can be supplied to the gully through a pipe 10 ending in a nozzle surrounding the pipe 3, the water &c. passing through the annular space 10<x>. Control valves 4, 11 are provided.
