Abstract

A device for applying adhesive material on a marginal portion of a leather strip prior to a folding operation comprises a pressure foot 1 adapted to press on said marginal portion and having a hole 2 extending therethrough to the lower surface thereof. an adhesive material supply pipe 6 which (in assembled position) extends through said hole to the lower surface of the pressure foot and a releasable clamp means for holding the supply pipe in position in the pressure foot. The supply pipe 6 has a projection 7 for engagement with a recess 8 in the pressure foot and an outwardly extending part 11 which co-operates with the lower end 10 of a spring loaded sliding rod 9 to form the clamping means. At its upper end the rod 9 has a knurled knob 13 with an inclined under surface 16 which co-operates with an inclined surface 14 on the foot 1 so that by rotation of the knob, the rod 9 can be held in a raised position to disengage the clamping means 10, 11.
