Abstract
1,106,892. Preassembled laboratory services unit. ANDREWS-WEATHERFOIL Ltd. 18 March, 19655[19 March, 1964], No. 11740/64. Heading B1X. A pre-assembled unit to supply at least two services, e.g. water, gas, electricity to a laboratory, which can be removably erected on the floor thereof prior to erecting, e.g. benchwork, comprises sections 30, 31, 32, 33 fitted one above another and mounted on a bottom section 25, and has various supply fittings for each service located and supported externally, one service only being on each section 30, 31, 32, 33, means extending from the fittings through the interior of the unit to project below it, to connect to sources therefor below the room floor. Section 33 has a conditioned air outlet, e.g. grilles 65. The section 25 has a flange 26 to which frame members 35 are attached to extend upward in the section corners to hold them together, secured to and spaced apart by a transverse frame member 36 near the top and over which a metal lid 40 is held down by screws 39 in lugs 38 welded to the members 35. A hinged door may be in the side of the unit which may have a sink 27 at opposite sides, supplied with water as at 53 from cocks and having a vacuum pump 55, 56 thereat.
