Abstract

An aqueous injectable pharmaceutical vehicle comprises from 1 to 2% (w/v) Na2SO4, 0.2-2% of a parenterally acceptable quaternary ammonium wetting agent and 2.7 to 7% of glycerin, propylene glycol, or a polyethylene glycol or a polypropylene glycol having an average M.W. of up to 6000. Up to 1.5% of a parenterally acceptable non-ionic hydrophilic colloid may also be present. Specified medicaments which may be suspended in the vehicle are steroids, many specific examples of which are mentioned, and fatty acid salts of antibiotics, e.g. neomycin stearate and lincomycin stearate.
