Abstract

1,104,565. Intruder alarms. HONEYWELL Inc. 26 March, 1965 [1 April, 1964], No. 13050/65. Heading G4N. [Also in Division H1] An intruder detection system of the type employing a taut wire as the detector is provided with means to compensate for a slow rate of change of tension to prevent the initiation of spurious alarm signals. The detector wire 11 is maintained in tension by means of a spring 30 to which it is coupled by a sliding cam plate 20. A cam follower 45 arranged to actuate switch contacts 60, 63 is mounted on a separate slider 40 which is driven by a motor 50 so as to tend to maintain switch contact 60 open. With slow changes in tension, slider 20 moves deflecting follower 45 to close contact 60 on to either contact 61, or 62 thus starting motor 50 which moves slider 40 until contact 60 again opens. With a sudden large change contact 63 makes with contact 64, or 65 to initiate an alarm signal.
