Abstract

1,104,533. Safety frames for tractors. R. NEWMAN, 9 Feb., 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 21599/66. Heading B7B. A safety frame 1 of metal tube protecting the driver of the tractor in case of accident, e.g. overturning of the tractor, is mounted by the feet 15 of its rear legs 12 and brackets 17, 18 on the differential casing 19. The front legs 5 of the frame 1 are bolted by their feet 6 to rearward extensions of a loader bar 10 fixed to the tractor engine 7. Each bracket 17 or 18 comprises L-shaped ports, welded together, the flange 22 of one of the parts having a curved edge to fit the casing 19.
