Abstract

1,104,308. Valves. J. B. RATELBAND. 27 Sept., 1966 [27 Oct., 1965], No. 43105/66. Heading F2V. Check valve comprises an annular ring closure 11 which is shaped as shown to form in open position the forward continuation of a streamlined annular form completed by a fixed member 14. The closure enlarges conically from its forward end, the conical sides merging into curved rear parts as shown. The closure seats within two seat rings 8, 10 of elastic material such as rubber. Each ring has a free lip portion which embraces the curved parts in closed position. The rings are located in carriers 7, 9. Carrier 7 is clamped between two parts if a fixed bullet 3, 5 supported by ribs 4 from the body. The form 14 is similarly supported. The valve is guided by hollow stems 12 in the form 14 and loaded by springs 17.
