[Also in Divisions E1 and H4] A circuit for providing an output voltage across lines 50, 51 which is the square root of an input D.C. voltage comprises three series resistor-diode circuits connected to points of a resis. tor 58 across which is applied a constant D.C. bias voltage. The values of the components are given. The circuit allows for decreasing wave amplitude with distance in a wave-energy position finding system (see Division H4).
