Abstract

1,103,735. Injection moulding spacing discs. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. 26 July, 1965 [27 July, 1964 (3)], No. 31868/65. Heading B5A. A plurality of thermoplastic spacing discs are injection moulded on to a plurality of conductors 4 disposed in a single plane (Fig. 1) the conductors 4 being held during moulding by means of interengaging guide members 7, 8 (Fig. 3, not shown), which are made of a plastic which does not abrade the conductors. Recesses for moulding the spacing discs are preferably formed in adjacent faces of mould bars 6, the discs being staggered on adjacent conductors 4 as seen in Fig. 2. The injection mould comprises three plates 1, 2, 3 and injection is effected through a nozzle 5 and channels 9, 10, 11. After injection the " sprue tree " (shown in chain lines in Fig. 1) is retained by means of ring-shaped orifices (13), Fig. 4 (not shown), and is subsequently ejected by ejector members 14.
