1,103,424. Condensate collecting vessel for steam power plant. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 21 April, 1965 [23 April, 1964], No. 16722/65. Heading F4A. A condensate collecting vessel is divided by a partition 2 into two chambers 12, 13 and the condensate is directed by a guide plate 11 into the chamber 12 and normally overflows into the chamber 13 from which it is supplied to the boiler by a pump 10. A conductivity measuring device is arranged in the chamber 12 and if the conductivity of the condensate increases, due to contamination of the condensate by raw water containing salts, a pump 5 is started to withdraw condensate from the chamber 12, thus stopping the overflow, the pump forcing the purified condensate through a filter 6 and valve 7 to the chamber 13.
