[Also in Division H1] A fault indicator for a transformer or like apparatus housed in a casing comprises a hollow cap 1 in communication with the interior of the casing and normally closed by a wall 3 which is caused to separate from the cap when the pressure in the cap rises to a predetermined value, means such as a thread 7 being provided to hold the wall captive to the cap when separated. The wall 3 may either be a push-fit in the cap opening 4 or, as shown, may be normally held in place by a metallic plate 6 on the wall and a magnet 5, e.g. a rubberized magnetic strip, in the cap. A spigot 2 serves to secure the device to the casing of the apparatus and may be located in place of the usual breather pipe.
