Abstract

1,102,715. Multiplex pulse signalling. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 4 May, 1965 [8 May, 1964], No. 18781/65. Addition to 1,069,650. Heading H4L. The system for synchronizing a receiver in the time division multiplex system disclosed in the parent Specification is modified by the inclusion of an improved pulse regenerating arrangement. An incoming pulse applied at E sets a trigger ST which starts a counter TZ, controlled by pulses such that n pulses occur for each incoming pulse from a local clock pulse generator (not shown) and also changes over a bi-stable FF. The counter operates until it reaches a n preset position - when if the trigger ST has in 2 the meantime been returned it changes back the bi-stable FF and any character which has been stored by a shift register SR is erased. The counter also is returned to its zero position in order to prevent the identification of an extended pulse as two pulses. If the trigger ST has not been returned when the counter TZ reaches position n/2 the counter begins a further count up to n/2 without changing back FF and the received pulse will be evaluated as correct. The shift register SR is stepped by a counter BZ controlled by the local clock pulses.
